Renault has unveiled its new Megane Coupe Cabriolet, which is officially set to launch at the Geneva Motor Show.
The new Megane Coupe-Cabriolet features the same smoked glass folding hard top as its predecessor, which Renault says covers an area of 5 square feet. The fully-automatic electro-hydraulic two-piece roof folds down in about 21 seconds.
The four-seater convertible also features a fixed glass wind deflector behind the headrests of the back seats, which deflects wind away from the cabin at up to 90km/h. The Megane CC’s boot stands at 417 litres with the roof up, and 211 litres with the roof down.
Exterior features include directional bi-Xenon headlamps with cornering dipped beams and dark red taillights with LED brake lights. The interior boasts a Carminat Tomtom satellite navigation system, USB connection, 3D sound and an electronic parking brake.
For the Megane CC, Renault will offer six engine choices, with three petrols and three diesels. These include a 1.6-litre unit mated to a six-speed manual producing 110bhp, a 1.4-litre TCe turbo with a six-speed manual producing 130bhp, and a 2.0-litre with 140bhp mated to a CVT.
