Auto Reveal: Toyota to unveil 2010 RAV4

Toyota has announced to launch its 2010 RAVA compact SUV as well as the production-ready Auris HSD at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

The front end of the RAVA is now treated to a more aggressive styling along with revamped headlights and a redesigned grille with more chrome. Toyota has also ‘refined’ the interior.

The Auris HSD (Hybrid Synergy Drive) is a C-Segment full hybrid that will be built at Toyota’s Burnaston factory in the UK. According to the company, the hybrid vehicle will go on sale across Europe by summer this year.

Apart from these two cars, Toyota will also showcase the Prius Plug-in Hybrid as well as the FT-EV II electric vehicle concept. AE-86 fans in Europe not to worry, the company will also present FT-86 sports car concept at the motor show.

Auto 2010: 2010 5 by Peugeot

Peugeot, the French automaker, is taking a step forward at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show with the planned unveiling of the new “5 by Peugeot” concept car.

The new 5 has been labeled to be “the purest expression of a luxury saloon” by the manufacturer and is in fact a preview of the future Peugeot 508 sedan with a modern and prestigious design combined with timeless style.

Exterior, the “5 by Peugeot” concept is defined by “LED tubes” highlighted by a luminescent surround, unique version of Peugeot’s signature front grill, long sculpted lightweight aluminum bonnet with the obligatory lion emblem up front, brushed aluminum accents on the window frames and matching door handles as well as a set of stunning 19 inch wheels.

The concept is powered by Peugeot’s new HYbrid4 technology that is made up of a 2.0 Liter HDi FAP diesel engine producing 163 HP mounted over the front axle with a 37 HP electric motor at the rear to produce a very fuel efficient concept.
