Lamborghini has decided to unveil a special edition model exclusively for the Chinese market. Lambo chose its flagship model, the Murciélago LP670-4 SuperVeloce, dubbing it the “China Limited Edition” and has delivered it with a stunning new paint scheme and interior trim changes. And just 10 LP670-4 SV China Limited Edition models will be offered to a growing number of Lambo enthusiasts in the world’s most populous country.

Like the other 350 LP670-4 SV models, the Chinese Edition gets a massive 6.5-liter V12 engine with 670-hp and 487 ft-lbs of torque enabling a 0-62 mph sprint of just 3.2 seconds. It also gets the same lighter body, weighing 220 lbs less than the standard LP640.

The special “Chinese Edition” trim items include the orange stripe down the length of the gray-painted car, which Lambo says symbolizes an erupting volcano. In addition, every vehicle will get a numbered plaque with the badge of the owner engraved on it.

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

BMW has now released a more budget conscious 528i model after debuting the 550i and 535i earlier this year. The budget conscious 528i is starting at $45,425 – including the $875 shipping fee.

For the record that’s $1,400 less than last year’s 528i and along with an entirely new chassis and body, the new 528i gets one other major improvement – an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The 3.0-liter inline-six 528i model makes 240-hp and 230 ft-lbs of torque, an improvement of 10-hp and 30 ft-lbs respectively. The added power, plus he new 8-speed auto box combine for a 6.6 second 0-60 mph time – a half a second faster than the previous gen 528i.

Options on the 528i include Xenon headlights, Active Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, a Heads-Up Display and the Dynamic Handling Package which includes Driving Dynamics Control and Dynamic Damping Control.

No fuel economy numbers are available, but they should increase by a noticeable margin. And this July, the 2011 528i will be in dealerships.
