
Toyota has revealed its all new Passo compact hatchback, which is co-developed with Daihatsu and also sold as the Daihatsu Boon.
According to manufacturer, the second-generation Passo, and the new Passo + Hana model, was co-developed with Toyota’s partner Daihatsu, and is “simple and unpretentious”. The Passo is also sold as the Daihatsu Boon.
The new Passo replaces the first generation model which was released in 2004, and Toyota promises that the car will be spacious while being compact at the same time. Toyota also says the Passo is fuel efficient and easy to drive, and is available in 11 different colors.
Available engines are- a 1.0-litre 1KR-FE unit, and a 1.3-liter 1NR-FE DVVT unit. Both engines come with a CVT gearbox.
The Passo + Hana model comes with features such as blacked-out door sashes and champagne-tinted outside door handles, as well as indicator lights built into side mirrors, to distinguish it from the base Passo models.
