Peugeot, the French automaker, is taking a step forward at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show with the planned unveiling of the new “5 by Peugeot” concept car.
The new 5 has been labeled to be “the purest expression of a luxury saloon” by the manufacturer and is in fact a preview of the future Peugeot 508 sedan with a modern and prestigious design combined with timeless style.
Exterior, the “5 by Peugeot” concept is defined by “LED tubes” highlighted by a luminescent surround, unique version of Peugeot’s signature front grill, long sculpted lightweight aluminum bonnet with the obligatory lion emblem up front, brushed aluminum accents on the window frames and matching door handles as well as a set of stunning 19 inch wheels.
The concept is powered by Peugeot’s new HYbrid4 technology that is made up of a 2.0 Liter HDi FAP diesel engine producing 163 HP mounted over the front axle with a 37 HP electric motor at the rear to produce a very fuel efficient concept.
