Subaru Impreza R205
Subaru has unveiled its latest creation, the Impreza R205.
The Impreza WRX STI-based R205 follows the name from the Impreza S203 and S204 models, with the R now standing for Road Sport. The Impreza R205 features a host of upgraded performance features, a number of which were taken from the Impreza WRX STI Spec C model. The Impreza R205 will be limited to a production run of just 400 units.
The R205’s performance upgrades include new front and rear spoilers, a unique black-colored grille, revised side skirts and rear apron, and 18-inch cast aluminium wheels wrapped in Bridgestone POTENZA RE070 tires.

The R205 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine with an “exclusively designed turbocharger with ball bearings for the turbine axle bearing, a specially tuned Engine Control Unit, and a sport muffler with lowered back pressure exhaust.” As a result, the engine is able to produce 315bhp and 431Nm of torque.
STI has also given the R205 a number of tweaks to improve the car’s handling prowess. Among the modifications include a Brembo brake system with 6-pot callipers up front and 4-pot callipers at the back, STI tuned dampers, coil springs, flexible type strut tower bar and flexible type lower arm stiffener of front suspension.
