Auto News: Lexus LF-A supercar confirmed for Tokyo

In addition to the LF-A, Lexus will also showcase to the Japanese market the debut of the LF-Ch compact-premium hybrid.

But the real news here is the highly-anticipated debut of the new Lexus supercar. Expected to be in the same class as notable new supercars like the Ferrari 458 Italia, the LF-A comes with a 4.8-liter V10 engine that delivers over 550 horsepower shifted via a 6-speed semi-automatic transmission that, in turn, allows the super car to hit speeds of over 218 mph.

Only 500 units will be made of the LF-A and one of them can be seen in Tokyo. Further news about the car has not been released by Lexus yet.

Lexus has announced that “a revolutionary two-seat supercar” will be unveiled later this month at the Tokyo Motor Show.

This concept vehicle epitomizes the purest form of driving exhilaration and performance.

Lexus has not yet revealed any photos or information on the long anticipated V10-powered supercar that is said to compete price-and performance-wise with no les than the Ferrari 458 Italia and other exotic models.

Furthermore, it has yet to be confirmed if the maker will reveal the final production version of the LF-A or will introduce a thinly disguised concept model.

Nissan has unveiled two sketches of its new Global Compact Car. The new Nissan car will be launched in Thailand next March 2010.

Nissan’s new car will replace the current Micra in Europe and eventually will be sold in 150 countries.

Nissan has not announced whether the new revealed sketch of new car will be for US and if then it will slot in below the Versa in Nissan’s lineup, as it is much better looking than Versa.
