Auto 2010: 2010 Jaguar XK Coupe Edition

Jaguar Australia has revealed a special edition XK Coupe, not only to celebrate its 75th Anniversary but also Jaguar’s historic return to LeMans next weekend. At the end of June, the sales will begin, and only 10 units produced will be produced, which priced at $193,500 plus on-road costs each.

The Jaguar XK Coupe 75th Anniversary Edition is available in three colors only – Indigo Blue, Ultimate Black, and Liquid Silver. It will be distinguished by 20″ Kalimnos alloy wheels, chrome finish to the side power vents, and chrome tailpipe finishers.

Interior, the XK gets bright finish pedals and an exclusive “75 Years” badge. It also feature a soft grain leather interior with contrast stitch and 16-way heated and cooled seats with memory. The sound coming out of the XK will be thanks to the superb Bowers & Wilkins 525-watt system with Dolby® ProLogic®II Surround Sound, three-channel stereo and unique amplifier, Kevlar mid-range speakers with high output and low distortion, and specially designed aluminum tweeters.

The Jaguar XK will get a new 5.0 Liter AJ-V8 engine without the supercharger that produces 385 bhp and 515 Nm of torque, doing the 0-6mph sprint in 5.5 seconds.

Renault has revealed the Latitude, their new flagship sedan that is based on their South Korean partner Samsung’s SM5 sedan.

Latitude replaces the slow-selling and unpopular Vel Satis, which has been discontinued, and will sit at the top of the Renault’s model range as their flagship luxury sedan. According to Renault, the Latitude is its latest international status-enhancing family saloon, and will showcase the car at the Moscow and Paris Motor Shows in August and September respectively.

The Samsung SM5 based Latitude was recently launched in South Korea by Renault’s Korean partner Samsung. The Latitude uses a modified version of the Laguna’s platform, and is a conventional four-door sedan instead of a five-door fastback like its predecessors the 25, Safrane and Vel Satis.

The Latitude measures 4,890mm in length, 1,830mm in Width and 1,490mm in height, the Latitude is 195mm longer, 19mm wider and 45mm taller than the Laguna. The details of engine have not been released yet, but the usual range of petrol and diesel units are expected to be made available.

Latitude consist of numbers of features that places it on innovation and traveling comfort”, including a dual-mode air ionizer with double fragrance diffuser, triple-zone climate control, a massaging driver’s seat, Bose Premium audio and the Renault hands-free card, among others.

New Latitude will go on sale this autumn in Asia, Africa, Russia, Turkey, Gulf, Australia and Mexico, with Europe to follow shortly after, according to Renault.
