
Peugeot has given an upgraded 1.6-litre turbocharged engine to its 308CC convertible that produces 156bhp, as well as a new six-speed automatic transmission.
The gearbox will be mated to a new 1.6-litre turbocharged engine that produces 156bhp. The combination replaces the previous 140bhp 1.6-litre Turbo powerplant with the 4-speed automatic gearbox.
The new engine and transmission means improved performance for the 308CC, with the 0-100km/h sprint now taking 9.8 seconds instead of 12.4 seconds. Top speed has also been increased from 204km/h to 211km/h.
Fuel economy has also been improved, with the new 308CC 1.6 Turbo now returning a combined fuel economy figure of 7.7 litres per 100km, an improvement from the previous model’s figure of 8.1 litres per 100km.
